"A design that leverages the complete expanse of the site which is by the river bankside, to accomadate learning spaces and blocks of a culinary institution.

 

Developing the land by keeping in mind of its context and it's natural habitat is the basic formula of our design practise. The rising water levels during floods on this river side plot needed some considerable design interventions to prevent the built structures from flooding.

A curvilinear wavy belt of earth berming structures defend the site from flood. This parametric nature of landscape also offers a basement for car parking and they are interconnected with the network of roads. Academic blocks are placed over these parking lots overviewing the river with intermediate stepped landscapes for recreational purposes. On one end of the academic block leads to an open amphitheater shaded by an auditorium which is above the admin block and entry lobby.
